IT'S RAINING RETRO!

Since I'm in the middle of a nice little rain storm right now, I decided that should be the theme for today!

Can't have a rain storm with out an umbrella..in this case an eraser one!

Or some might find other means for an umbrella, like Grouchy Smurf right here.

The rain clouds may pass over my town by tomorrow, but this one will always be on Grumpy Bear's stomach.

Kids on a plastic charm even have their umbrella!

Prince, (now known as that symbol we can't pronounce..), knows what color the rain is..

Paddington Bear is always ready for rain. (He was also always in every preschool/Kindergarten classroom in the 80's too!) He's not the only bear ready for a storm though...

  Ruxpin knows what's up too!

This Pound Puppy listened to the weather channel updates as well!

Us 80's kids may be too big to fit into this Smurf raincoat anymore, but our kids probably can!

For those of us who went on those week long trips to Disney World, there was always that rain day...in which our parents embarrassed us in one of those Disney Poncho's!

Here was my mom's wonderful Disney Poncho back in 82 on our Florida trip.

Speaking of raincoats and all, this ADIDAS waterproof jacket would have been the Stylish way to face the rain in the 80's.

Today is a day that would make it okay to blame it all on the rain.

Nobody can make the rain seem disgusting like the Garbage Pail Kids did.

The rain doesn't last forever though, and when it over, one of my favorite things to do was to look for snails.
Too bad they couldn't have been cute ones like,...

The Keypers

Glo Snail

And Strawberry Shortcake's Snail cart!

Then sometimes there's even a rainbow after the rain.

Rainbow Stickers!-(never a storage of them in the 80's!)

The Old Apple Logo

Rainbow Earrings

Rain-Blo Rubble was rainbow AND sweet!

And lastly, the Queen of Rainbows herself,
Rainbow Brite!
Rainbow Brite!

Well, the rain has cleared up now so I guess I won't be able to fall asleep with the sound of raindrops at my window.
It was nice while it lasted.

Goodnight!
